The FLOWguardian© system looks after all elements of water use in industry and commerce, from inlet all the way through to discharge for both small and large companies. Most companies concentrate hard on their core production and many see water costs as being marginal. A recent IWEX report gives the marginal cost to industry as £19.9 billion per annum, a substantial sum. Typically a company with a turnover of £10 million will spend £188,000 per annum on water usage, not an insignificant amount nor one that even a modest 5% reduction should be ignored.

The FLOWguardian© process begins with an evaluation of actual consumption, both domestic and production water to establish water usage patterns leading to the identification of waste and leakage. At least half of a typical water bill comprises the discharge element; we examine treatment processes, sampling and discharge regimes. Water bills are examined for consistency and accuracy, of the bills so far examined 10% have significant errors, and 40% of commercial premises have significant water use reduction opportunities.

FLOWguardian© does not have an up front charge, we are so confident and that there is enough opportunity for savings we split the costs between the client and ourselves on a sliding scale, the more we save the less we take. Once the project is complete the client keeps 100% of the savings in perpetuity.
