The traditional approach to project delivery is in house design and external procurement for construction. This approach does have some advantages but is generally more costly and requires additional management and supervision, an industry wide move to design and construct provides the client with what is effectively a one stop shop for delivery of what are often complex projects with many interrelationships and interfaces.
