Essex and Suffolk Water required a new approach to renovation programme development. We integrated all the main features of good renovation programme development under one study. Initial system element study involved condition grading, pipe characterisation, pipe sampling, historical record evaluation, and leakage study. Rehabilitation proposals were developed and refined to conform as close as possible with re engineered system design, taking account of system hydraulics, redundancy, development needs and pressure management.
